Once again, we have received a number of queries about the so-called Triangle of Life. That advice has been thoroughly discredited internationally for years, but unfortunately keeps circulating during earthquake events.
Help us stop the spread of bad advice. If any of your friends or family share it, make sure you comment on their posts or reply to their emails, that it's a load of potentially dangerous bull, and don't share it any further! Please share the correct advice with them instead.
DROP COVER HOLD is the right advice for New Zealand conditions where falling objects (not buildings) present a real threat. We have robust building standards in New Zealand and do not expect buildings to collapse.
